When people promise to do something and they are bound and determined to fulfill that promise they often say, “I will move heaven and earth to …” They then complete that sentence with the specific objective.
The Chief Sage Officer of Infinitiaty has asked me to tell you that God One wants us to stop doing that. He’s been bumping into things that aren’t where he left them. Furthermore, He has some great, holy bruises to show for it.
Other Gods that visit God One’s universe don’t mind our moving heaven and earth. They aren’t as absentminded as God One. They wisely look where They are going when They are in our universe.
The Gods Want Heaven and Earth to Stay Where They Are
In fact, not only do They not mind us rearranging celestial bodies, the other Gods believe instead that variety is the spice of eternal life. They enjoy seeing changes in the places they visit frequently. God One, on the other hand, does not deal well with change.
Because God One is our Maker, flawed though He may be, He deserves at least some respect from us. What’s more, there is that whole omnipotent and omniscient thing. So, if you don’t want to be dodging lightning bolts for the rest of your life, please stop moving heaven and earth to do things.
If a promised objective can’t be achieved with less effort than the moving of heaven and earth then people will understand if you fail to keep the promise you gave them. The most they’re likely to do as punishment is break your legs or kill you, which is a much preferable outcome compared to what you can expect if you annoy God One.
