A senior executive committee composed of the Church of Infinitiaty’s Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Tithing Officer, Chief Ideology Officer and Chief Sage Officer has instructed me to post the following statement concerning some Vatican rumors. I have been ordered to do so without adding any editorial or other comment:
The Church of Infinitiaty refuses to either confirm or deny rumors, which may or may not exist, that it is planning a takeover bid for the Vatican and all of its international churches and holdings. The Church of Infinitiaty has a strict policy of never responding to idle speculation about its internal operations.
Because the Vatican is a private organization, there is no legal requirement for the Church of Infinitiaty to issue an announcement of any bid that is delivered to the current owners of the Vatican, should such a bid be tendered at any time in the future or if one has already been delivered.
The Church of Infinitiaty’s legal counsel also reminds Vatican officials that they are legally bound to honor any confidentiality agreements that they may have signed if, indeed, they have signed any or will sign any in the future.
Vatican Rumors Should be Taken With a Grain of Salt
None of the above statements should be taken as either a confirmation or a denial of a pending or current bid for the Vatican. All such Vatican rumours should be taken with a grain of salt until such time as a deal, if there is indeed one, is officially announced. Even then, such rumors should not be entirely trusted until such a deal, if there is one, is closed and the Church of Infinitiaty has taken possession of the organization.
The Church of Infinitiaty will not issue any further comment on this matter unless and until an agreement to purchase the Vatican and any or all of its operations is finalized and legally in force.
