God Mass

God One could afford to lose an infinity or so pounds.

God One could afford to lose an infinity or so pounds.

Poindexter from Pointe Lesse, Michigan wants to know:

“Does God One have mass or is He weightless?”

That’s an interesting question and one that most people never consider. Thanks so much, Poindexter, for raising it. Then again, I guess your life must be pretty empty if you have nothing better to think about. You have my sympathies.

To find the answer to Poindexter’s question we must turn to physics and the work of Albert Einstein.

As you are no doubt aware, Einstein showed us that E = mc2, where “E” is energy, “m” is mass, and “c” is the speed of light.

Now let’s apply this equation to something that we already know for certain about God One, namely that He is all-powerful. If God One is all-powerful He must have infinite energy. Otherwise, He would not possess enough energy to accomplish anything and everything simultaneously—including an infinite number of simultaneous actions, if necessary.

Thus, in Einstein’s famous equation, e must equal infinity when we are talking about the energy of God One.

C, the speed of light, is a very large number—299,792 km (or 299,792,000 meters) per second in a vacuum, to be precise. Nonetheless, any finite number multiplied by any other finite number still equals a finite number even though it may be exceptionally large. Therefore, God One’s m, or mass, must also equal infinity to make E equal infinity.

So, there you have it. As we have proven by the application of accepted scientific laws, God One has infinite mass.

Obviously, this leads to a couple of further conclusions. First, God One’s mass must be dispersed over an infinite volume. Otherwise, His gravity would quickly create a massive black hole that would swallow up our universe.

And, second, companies selling weight loss programs should be able to make a killing off Him. Infinity minus any finite number is still infinity, so He will always have excess weight he to lose.

Isn’t it wonderful when physics can help us to learn more about the Gods? We are truly blessed by science and, of course, by the Gods.
